As practitioners, we learn from others and we learn by doing.
The zone between the two is especially interesting.

Michael Smith, Osteopath
I’m nearing the end of my practice life and want to write about what I’ve learnt over the years. Some pandemic spare-time, along with a natural impatience caused by the inevitable fugit inreparabile tempus, has finally spurred me into action.
It seems a long time since I sat down for my first anatomy class at the British School of Osteopathy in 1994. In hindsight, learning and progress have not occurred in some smooth continual fashion, but via a series of jumps and starts. I find the nature of this journey fascinating, a journey both unique and familiar to every practitioner.
I hope that what you find on this site is thought-provoking and challenging, but, above all, useful.
